ADOPTION OPTION
DOG RESCUE, INC.

MISSION
Adoption Option Dog Rescue Inc. is a non-profit, foster-based rescue striving to decrease the number of dogs and cats in shelters.  Adoption Option pulls unwanted dogs and cats from owners, pounds, or other rescues and provides them with all needed medical care in loving, family-centered environments, before searching for adoptive families and forever homes.  Adoption Option Dog Rescue Inc will pull adult dogs/cats, puppies/kittens, pregnant moms, and nursing moms.  Adoption Option will also rehabilitate and train dogs and cats who were previously abused and/or neglected.  Adoption Option Dog Rescue also seeks to involve community members in rescue efforts through volunteer opportunities while also educating citizens and adopters about how to best care for their pets.

ADOPT

Adding a furry member to your family is a big commitment!  Dogs are wonderful companions!  However they do require a lot of time and care.  If you are considering adoption, please think about the following:

  • Are you prepared to devote time to exercising your dog daily with leash walks, training, and structured play?  Structured play is more mentally strenuous for a dog than running around freely.
  • Are you prepared to train your dog, either independently or through a training class, so that your dog learns basic commands, manners, and leash walking?
  • Is every member of your family ready to welcome a new dog?
  • Do you have a space ready for your new family member?
  • Do you have the financial resources to provide healthcare, food, toys, training, leashes, harnesses, preventative medications, etc.?
  • Are you prepared for any type of medical emergency that might arise?
If you are interested in adopting a dog, please submit your DOG adoption application!

If you are interested in adopting a cat or kitten, please submit your CAT adoption application here.

FOSTER
Adoption Option Dog Rescue, Inc. depends on fosters to help us save dogs!  We do not have a shelter, so all of our dogs are in foster homes.  The more foster homes we have, the more dogs and puppies we can save!  If you are interested in becoming a foster, please consider the following:
  • Do you have the space to keep a new dog(s) or cat(s) separate from all other animals in your house?  We require this for everyone’s safety.  We want to make sure our foster animals are healthy and sociable before they are integrated with family pets.
  • Are you able to transport the foster to and from the vet for necessary healthcare?
If you are interested in becoming a DOG foster, please complete our dog foster application.  If you are interested in becoming a CAT foster, please complete our cat foster application.  Adoption Option dog Rescue, Inc. will provide you with all needed supplies, food, and medications.  Our dogs just need a home where they are loved and cared for as we search for their forever families!  Thank  you!
